2021 in review
Happy New Year, everyone!!! I hope your Christmas was merry, and that this year-end letter finds you in good spirits. If you happen to have younger children around, I’m sure they are brightening the season for you. A child’s descriptions are so precious and often hilarious.
I remember when one of my kids was asked what his father did for a living, he said, “He talks with people and prays, too.” That about sums it up, I think.
This delightful kid video (https://youtu.be/suowe2czxcA) describing the birth of Jesus is sure to make you laugh out loud and accents beautifully the Christmas season.
Also, it's hilarious.
But in keeping with that first question, “What do you do for a living?” I thought I’d give you a snapshot of some things that have happened in ministry this year. There has been plenty of talking and plenty of praying, that’s for sure. ;)
Much of what I do with KPI currently rotates around Northstar Church, therefore, much of focus circles around there. Larger gatherings have become more established again, but still feel a little softer over all in numbers.
750 participated in Prophetic Prayer & Communion (PPC) events
75 people served regularly on PPC evenings
I’ve helped establish 4 different PPC events in other area churches
30 people were trained and equipped through my “Basic Prayer Training”
40 people served regularly on Sunday morning prayer teams
Facilitated 20 students’ completion of the School of Kingdom Ministry, our 7th year running this equipping/teaching pathway providing a leadership/experience pipeline for various church in our region
Other ministry highlights:
Dozens of prayer advisor/consultant weekly appointments across the city and region, including 5 small companies and 10 other churches in the city
“Cincinnati Prayer Canopy” is attempting to encircle the city of Cincinnati with continuous prayer
52 “Saturday morning fires.” Great mentoring and ministry with dozens of men happening every week
Encouraging and mentoring Kingdom Ministry principles with leaders’ various churches and in businesses
Taught at the “Kingdom Pursuit Conference” and other equipping venues
Taught 4 different times at Northstar’s Loveland & West Chester campuses
Spoke at Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy student chapels
Continued 25 one-on-one mentoring relationships
This is a high-level view, with dozens more personal interactions that make up the backbone of what God has been doing through KPI this year.
If you didn’t laugh at that last video, perhaps your heart will be stirred by “Messengers”, a perspective of Jesus’ birth through the eyes of Joseph and Mary. This beautiful depiction is captured in the season special of the Chosen videos. If you haven’t taken in this amazing video series, do yourself a favor and binge on something meaningful in your holiday free time.
We thank you so much for your continued investment in what God is doing through us this year. We anticipate more of the same moving ahead, to stay staring into His face and moving with Him as He moves.
Bless you all,
Rusty
