2018

Because the format and flavor of my life seems to spill out in stories, some of you may not have a feel for some of the tangible things I’m involved with day to day. 2018 was the first full operating year of Kingdom Prayer Initiatives. Our IRS approval of non-profit status came in July, and we’ve been able maintain the ministry focus and direction of the previous year, and launched our website: kingdomprayerinitiatives.com.

The following is a sampling of the things that God is doing through us and with us:

NORTHSTAR CHURCH

There are various churches that I enjoy serving in Cincinnati, but much of our ministry rotates around Northstar Church, where I am an elder/pastor and ministry leader:1800 participants at Prophetic Prayer & Communion (PPC) – A worship environment listening for God’s voice and blessing others.Nearly 100 people serve regularly at these PPC events, with many coming from all over the city. Abbey is one of the worship leaders, which we love.60 people have participated in the Basic Prayer Training this year. Which contributed to the 45+ people serving regularly on Northstar’s Sunday morning ministry teams. We’re in our 3rd year of offering the School of Kingdom Ministry, which I facilitate. This class equips students with ministry skills over a calendar year. We’ve had over 100 students over those years, with 40 students in 2018.Aidan and Rus joined a ministry trip to Haiti with Back2Back Ministries to serve in orphan care projects in May 2018.Rus was part of a successful prayer/care ministry trip with Back2Back to Monterrey, Mexico, to serve the staff. This trip gave energy and vision for some additional international ministry in the future.Countless other pastoral care and prayer appointments all over the city. (I think I know every Starbucks and Panera in the Cincinnati area!)

ADDITIONAL MINISTRY HIGHLIGHTS

I have had 20+ Prayer Advisor/Consultant appointments across the city and region where I partner with like-minded folks serving their companies, including WitheosAmerican Heritage GirlsScoggins & Greer, and CertaPro Painting. I’m finding an increased influence in mentoring/counseling with business and ministry leaders, something God seems to be breathing upon.I helped provide 5 prayer ministry and learning environments outside Northstar this year, including one servicing varied locations of Crossroads Church staff members totaling 450, which is wonderful.Working and praying alongside Witheos, a company aimed towards helping people find passion and purpose, has been very rewarding.God is moving in remarkable ways at a city event called ManCamp. I’ve served as a prayer leader at these events which touch 1,400 men twice a year. Incredible life changes, healing and salvation come out of these camps.I serve on the advisory board of several local non-profit organizations, including Roots & Branches prayer network.

TEACHING / MENTORING HIGHLIGHTS

I have the opportunity to speak and teach in various settings, including at Back2Back Ministries, Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, Saturday fires for men, as well as multiple different venues with the School of Kingdom Ministry and through the connections of Northstar. I’ve noticed a particular blessing when speaking with grade school children, encouraging them to love and serve Jesus. After years of prodding from many, I’m taking steps to assemble the collections of stories that I’ve told and written in newsletters over the years and compile them in a book. I seem to find God in everyday places. This will take some motivation, but it’s something I want to make a dent in this year.

We pray for all of you, for favor and blessing in this new year!
